Thought I'd explore how well a doom-esque map would work with a certain mod, so far it works fine the only problem I have with it, it's too big for this kind of thing it makes it too easy to survive.

Trying to make this map stand out more and look less bland, so far I think it looks much better but I guess I'll let you guys be the judge of that, constructive criticism is welcome.

Something I've noticed while making maps with grass in them, don't make them as sprites make them as flats, this reduces the impact on cpu and you can place more of them down. Having them as sprites just takes more.

EDIT: Also if I want to keep them as sprites I might make a feature to lower or even remove all grass via options.

I've seen this done, It's pretty effective and allowing options makes your wad more versatile.
