So wait, why is the Laser cannon in the first slot? It's... not melee in the slightest. Well, it's Quake 1, so that pleases the "FAK QUAK 3 SAJKDAKJSHDKJAS" people. Second, with the moving of Thunderbolt to unique position, it turned cells into an even less used ammo type for Ranger. We really did need something else to use cells, even if it doesn't quite stack up with the Plasma RIfle damage wise (but it's a slot 1, and the LG does 30 damage per cell, so WGAF). The laser cannon is a good long range bombardment weapon, with its bouncing everywhere and going pretty dang fast, fitting it well into the role of Artillery.
Also because the laser cannon kicks ass. You can't deny it.

Nice final loadout for Ranger, and Artillery role...I like that idea. Can't wait until Ranger's in now.
I also came up with the idea for a Team Fortress style mod based on Samsara; there are nine characters planned with roles matching Team Fortress, most of them from regular play but I may need to go into other games/sources, even outside the FPS genre, to fit the roles, and I'd like to avoid using TF2/TFC characters for this. Note there are many possibilities for these slots but this is the concept I have.

Now that I look at it again, maybe SO should be scout and I'll have to look into a replacement for Pyro (Maybe parias with serpent staff, modified firestorm, and mace). As I said there could be multiple classes for each role with their own unique loadouts (Corvus could be an engineer that can deploy magic turrets/dispensers/teleport pads, in addition to spamming gas pods). Daedolon could also be a healer using a modified wand (main heals, alt shoots mana spikes) and the mace. Strifeguy could be the spy (Dagger, disguise, shadow armor, poison crossbow). TF Samsara, in conclusion, would allow more classic characters (the rest of Hexen, Strife), and all the other characters that could be put into each role would be optional (Tails, Aqua, Serra, Lo Wang).

I was actually thinking of the feasibility of a TF2 mod where it would pit the guys from this mod against the TF2 crew. The only difference here is that the guys from the wheel will be equivalent to Juggernauts (6 is to 1) and all their game items were scattered across the map (quad-damage, berserk pak or even the tome of power) and they only have 5 weapons. Here is an idea of who would be equvalent to who

Doomguy- heavy, scout, soldier
Patrias- medic, soldier, demo

Mind that TF Samsara itself is not canon nor official, and I do want to keep it as canon as possible while completely adapting to Team Fortress mechanics, so of course many characters will have to be altered to fit in, which is the reasoning for more non-canon abilities like the modified Firestorm, Corvus' Tome of Building, and Daedolon's healing wand.
