The doom pistol pickup does not get replaced, Any plans to change that?

I realize its pretty much a non-issue because regardless you spawn with your pistol or similar replacement, But it might be worth changing it to a ammo1 pickup.

I have a list of characters that would be cool for this wad

Danny Evanger from HacX: moves at the same speed as doomguy, takes more damage and eats ammo faster, but weapons do more damage and shoot faster.

Batman from Batman DooM: this could be the stealth class, just change the bfg weapon.

Space seal from Corridor 7: the link in dropbox is broken, I would like to play as this guy just because the game looks fun.

Mega man: just like in mm8bdm! (and yes I guess this one is a little lame.)

Batman Doom and Mega Man are not a characters from a retro FPS, sorry.
And Corridor 7 is something I'm not at all terribly familiar with as well, also sorry.

hacx: I did not know that Xaser said that, and knowing now i can understand why because of Hacx 2.0.

Batman: I understand as not being a stand alone game.

Corridor 7: someone made a class for him, but right now when I try to download it I get 404.

Megaman: Yeah I should have expected for that response :redface: .

the only other guy I could request would be Kyle Katarn from dark forces 2 (not dark forces 1 mind you.)

About Batman and Megaman, I would like to see people making addons for characters from Doom mods. The urban brawl guy would be funny but hard to play as, for example. Also, Brütal Doomg-*bonk'd*

There's a really good Katarn addon out there, pretty popular too. You will not like it though, because it's Dark Forces 1.

Hate to bump the thread, but someone on #Samsara mentioned making a Hard Doom patch for (for reasons I don't remember) So... I made one.

Much like the patch I made for Metroid/Harddoom the load order is:

Samsara > Hard Doom (Latest version) > The patch

aside from that, I want to say something:

--the cheat "sv_infiniteammo 1" does not work on weapons like the double shotgun (security officer) also, ¿is there a way to give him a reload keybind or something?

--¿Will you add more "bloodyhell" effects?

[spoiler]I don't know if this is the place to suggest this, but I was thinking about a support class getting added to the Wheel, with a supportive 'role' or 'strength', like Doomguy's damage or Duke's crowd control.
Only problem is that I have no idea who could play that role.

Some unlikely suggestions...

I was thinking maybe the Team Fortress 2 Engineer. (I originally thought the Ghouls vs Humans engineer)

I was also thinking maybe the Team Fortress 2 Medic, with a new healing device (since idk how the medigun could translate well into the game) but that game isn't retro nor does the class have sufficient attacking weapons (good enough for self defense but seems less practical in Doom and the like)

Do you know of any class from a suitable game that could fit this role? Parias does it, but he barely does well enough of a job to do that[/spoiler]

I'm an idiot. Final character has been confirmed apparently, I'll actually have to look to the guys in charge of the add on content and see what they think of a highly supportive character.
