The original Samsara had...many rough spots in the balancing efforts made.

But at least it tried. It was always apparent that the developers were putting effort to making the existing classes better before adding new ones.

The point is, at 22 heroes, it's become incredibly (yet still increasingly) obvious that you are prioritizing the diversity of the classes before the balance of said classes. And that's a design choice that is starting to really hit home now - 22 classes is definitely more classes than I suspect ANYONE can balance - maybe you can achieve pseudo-balance, but at a certain point you get to knee-jerk "oh my god this is broken hammer it oh wait this other thing is also broken hammer it", which is -surprise- actually a really bad balance practice.

22 Heroes and 161 weapons. Diversity is really starting to hit you back now.

Also, Samsara was a Deathmatch mod. I have NEVER seen the addons used in competitive play, EVER.

if you ask me the original samsara was broken as fuck and had little balance
this
that adside there are bug fixes and balance updates to some classes in the future coming up.

that's good to know.its not impossible to have a good lot of characters AND being balanced at the same time.
But, as in the inverse of the above scenario, there's no balance. At all.

This isn't fun either.
and again,if all else fails,i'd like to know if there's a tutorial so i can make my own ..:"unbalanced" addon to be used privately,so i can have FUN without any of you guys getting offended by it.

after all,its all about fun itself, and not balance, right?if you play, say,a fighting game because of "balance",you'd be better doing something else with your free time then.

Granted,if an addon is made to be played online, balancing is the first thing you need.but since most of these addons are used in a co-op games, and again, its made to be as fun and diverse as possible..i can't see why not.

and speaking to the various players in various servers in-game,i'm not the only madman to think about this thing

EDIT
I have NEVER seen the addons used in competitive play, EVER.
there,problem solved

DM is dead in general for doom, unless you enjoy hecktonmutiverse shit.
Also addons may be a addon to a "Deathmatch" style wad(I never like it as a dm anyways) addons itself is more focused on co op. I don't recall your samsarahold being a DM one either, i think the problem is that you want it to go back to it's DM roots, it won't happen sorry.

Playing them in DM is as simple as making a server with DM settings, that's it. Nothing's holding anyone back, just put a BE server up and there you go. Also why would anyone want SamsaraHold as a DM modifier? Does it really balance the classes that much that it makes a difference? I'd not think so but who knows...Nobody put up a server yet!

You know, there's a big difference between being offended and providing criticism.
