Requesting ideas for multi-player

I am creating 7-10 instances of dedicated servers for my group of friends. We are 6 players on average, sometimes more. I was, unfortunately, about 19 years late to Doom, and am not familiar with a lot of the great work that has been done in that time. I am interested to hear your favourite custom multi-player modes as well as your favourite WADs for multi-player. I have read this thread about people's favourite game modes, and it has been helpful in selecting a few that I want to use.

I already have planned (and am interested in hearing about deviations of):
{} = comment, <> = Flag, [] = PWAD, | = also, but in a separate instance, ; = included together

- DM [Samsara | Brutal Doom | UDMX | Super Skulltag]
- TDM [Complex Doom]
- TeamCTF <Begin w/ SSG>
- Coop [Call of Dooty {for the lulz. not even sure it works for multiple players}]
- Duel
- Invasion [Satan's Covenant; Brutal Doom | Invuled-EW {when it 's released} | Nazi Zombies {when it supports multi-player} | Demon Defense]

I see another chubz fan :D

I think you should play AoW, WDI and ZDW, those generally work better in private than in public, and they are not currently on your list, which baffles me a bit, do you not like these or something?

I agree with Lollipop except for WDI. I honestly thought it was boring and everyone killed each other regardless.

WDI can be fun... sometimes, it is not a favorite of mine, but I wanted to tell about it as it is quite popular.
I think that you should just dig around the whole maps'n'junk subforum, you will find things that you never imagined.

PSA: Call of Dooty isn't going to work online. It's too reliant on ACS cutscenes.

I'd recommend TerminusEst13's patchjob of Ancient Magic as it's fucking amazing.

Nope, just didn't know about them. Green as fuck. I will be trying them out, thanks.

Good to know. I figured it wouldn't work. And thanks, I will be checking that out.

Do you have the latest version of Satan's Covenant invasion? If not ill give it to you since i fixed some errors that made maps like lava Ocean unbeatable because of monsters not spawning.

I believe I do. I have version 5.3. Thank you though.

Well as long as its the patch where I fixed the maps that have some monsters that didnt spawn then thats good enough.

Nazi Zombies supports Multiplayer, I have a server with it usually on BE Called Plague Docs Server for my group of Doomers called the Plague Doctors. If you guys want you can play there when its up, it's public.

Maybe mix some survival mods with Zdoomwars? I tried it once in SP with chillax, and it was hilarious.
