Well, is the Master's level required? I think I'm just gonna get doom II today then. I'm looking for pretty much all online,

The Master Levels definitely aren't required or even canon. They're really just a batch of levels id thought was cool--personally, I'm not a huge fan of them.

Also, others have suggested mods for you, here's my own personal take on them:

GAMEPLAY:
- ZDoom Wars (Turns Doom into a pseudo RTS game, summoning units and pitting them against each other in a grand tactical battle)
- Real Guns Advanced 2 (Turns Doom into a pseudo CoD game, with iron sights, regenerating health, and a limited inventory. Lots of tacticool shit)
- Brutal Doom (Turns Doom into a holy balls over the top power fantasy. Insane blood spatters, lots of gore, over the top sounds and sprites, stupid fun for a few levels or two. Just be wary of the fanbase)

LEVELS:
- Scythe 2 (Straightforward linear slaughterfests, gets especially brutal in the later levels)
- Dissolution (Moody and ambient Quake-style levels, not a lot of fighting but a LOT of atmosphere)
- Hellcore 2.0 (Absolutely beautiful and fucking huge levels, but if you're not a fan of obscure switchhunts then stay away)
- Epic (A trek through egyptian temples and deserts)
- Equinox (Going through a slowly-corrupting techbase being invaded by evil aliens, though last level is a brass-knuckle punch to the dick)
The Ranger - New class for HeXen.
ZDoom Wars - I drew some pictures.
Samsara - Some class-based mod I guess?
Metroid: Dreadnought - I am a dumb fanboy.
DemonSteele - ~come with me to anime world~

Alright thank you, I'll check them out. Epic sounds like an awesome set of levels. I was already planning on getting BrutalDoom, saw videos on youtube and it looks sick. One more question though, will I need dosbox to play Doom II off steam?

Nope. If you have the Doom2.wad, just put it in the Zandronum folder, and it'll instantly recognize it. Open up Zandronum.exe, select Doom II: Hell on Earth, and play!
If you want to play online, then in the Zandronum folder should be Doomseeker.exe. Open that up and it'll spew out a veritable torrent of servers at you.

Will doing so continue to add game time to steam as in how much I've played like a normal bought steam game?

No, unfortunately, which is a huge shame. You'll have to do so via Add Non-Steam Game, and direct it to Zandronum.exe or Doomseeker.exe.

Personally, I play offline games even through Doomseeker, so I guide it to that.

Sorry to double post, but I got this and it's amazing. So far, not really into the PvP matches because they're too hard atm, gotta get batter, but I'm really digging the co-op stuff. Gets really intense.

However, I thought I was able to actually play the singleplayer game co-op with other people, but I'm not seeing that anywhere?

Nobody really plays vanilla doom anymore. Mainy because its either gotten a little boring or there are just more interesting things out there. PM me. We should play sometime.

This might be both late and offtopic, but doom1's first chapter is the best, it gives me a feeling, that the other chapters and doom2 cant give me, im sorry dusk but doom1 is superior :V

You'll find there are still plenty hosting the original Doom wads, even with flags to make it seem like you were back in 1993.

Lost Levels look like the Doom II Second Episode from X360.
