The new Wolfenstein game is being developed by Machine Games and being published by Bethesda.

New gameplay video. Loving that watermelon destruction.

I hope there are some Nazi's to shoot at, instead of mechs. Return To Castle Wolfenstein had enough mechy elements in it tbh. Hope they're not continuing on that part!

No gameplay footage, licensed music, a "reimagining of the franchise", and alternate steampunk history?

They haven't really got anything to show us yet, much less gameplay footage, so I'm not really excited yet.
Still, I'm happy for another Wolfenstein entry--the only question is whether it'll be fun or not.
The Ranger - New class for HeXen.
ZDoom Wars - I drew some pictures.
Samsara - Some class-based mod I guess?
Metroid: Dreadnought - I am a dumb fanboy.
DemonSteele - ~come with me to anime world~

I agree, though I must say RTCW lopers were the best part of the game.

Man, that was a great release. The vibe that game brought to the table had an eloquent sense of darkness

Ok, they've officially released screenshots.

http://minus.com/m1jQrht9z0yQ2

And yes, you do get to shoot Nazis, of course.

Also, from what I've managed to gather thus far:
-Developed by MachineGames, not Bethesda or id Software
-Runs on id Tech 5
-Single Player Only
-Large Game Duration
-Strong focus on Story and Atmosphere
-Franchise Reboot that contains elements from some previous games
-Alternate Historical Timeline takes place 20 years after the Nazi's win WWII
-Strong cast of Villains
-NPC Interaction
-Massive Outdoor and Indoor Environments
-Wide variety of Nazi Occult Environments
-Wide Variety of Missions including stealth, vehicular etc...
-Puzzles and Adventure Elements with plenty of Secrets
-No Health Regeneration. Similar to the Chronicles of Riddick
-Huge Arsenal of Weapons. No limit to how many you can carry.
-Can Dual-Wield Most Weapons
-Scarce Ammo
-2013 Release Date

A short poem

I dig, you dig, we dig, he digs, she digs, they dig.

It's not a beautiful poem, but it sure is deep.

I've never been too much of a Wolfenstein fan but I'll certainly have an eye on WTNO. So far everything sounds promising and actually, I don't know what I could wish for more (at least if they keep what Hellstorm Archon posted).

It looks exactly like another generic boring new era shooter. If I wouldn't know otherwise and that guy sitting in front of wolfenstein logo wouldn't pop out every so often, I would never guess it's supposed to be a wolfenstein game.

Not excited.

This might be the reason why DOOM 4 has been delayed lol

Considering that iD software is not directly involved in developing this? Most probably not.

Saw the gameplay video. It looks interesting! Can't wait for them to reveal more about it.

So, is id software kind of giving up on Wolfenstein now and just giving it to others to deal with?

iD is busy working on Doom 4. After being so busy with RAGE back in 2011, they saw that Doom 4 wasn't meeting up to expectations and they scrapped everything they had and restarted the project.

And as for the people working on New Order, it is being developed by some of the people who worked on The Darkness, which was also a great FPS.

Yea, I figured all of the stuff that's going on with Doom 4 would be why they're not making the Wolfenstein games now. Probably better this way for now.

Last update: I've now added the E3 trailer released a few days ago. I will no longer post new stuff about the game here because everyone here knows by now what the game is, but I'd be glad to continue discussion about it.
