Forum Emoticons Thread

#1

Post by StrikerMan780 » Sat Jun 02, 2012 2:01 am

A few days ago it was suggested that a thread like this be started, to get a collection of potential custom emoticons to have on the forum. I'll start that by showing a few I've saved.

Best of all, uncle phil.

I think we would be better off making custom ones. Maybe something Doom themed, like how the Realm667 forums have.

Not sure we really want the forum to look so "dated"

If we get new emoticons, shouldn't they be actual emoticons and not memes?

I'm just doing what was suggested to get the conversation in motion, not necessarily use those emoticons... calm your tits. Image

Those are good. Fitting for the theme too.

Hmm, i should keep very far away from this it could get ugly.
[spoiler]i once killed a lion with a spinning back fist. It was years ago, on safari in Africa. My guide Mombomotombo was taking a leak behind a tree when out from the bushes a lion charged at me. At first i just looked at him the way bruce lee looked at Ohara in enter the dragon. But, the lion kept coming. When he was in mid air, with claws and teeth ready to do me like a zebra, i took 2 steps back and unleashed a chuck norris spinning back fist, crushing the lions skull.

@Edward-San: Oh dear. What on Earth are those? O:

Seriously, though, it'd really tickle my fancy to see 'em used somewhere. I'll make more for the occasion if it becomes a semi-serious consideration.

Need to hunt down who made the first few, though -- tard, smug, and a few others were done by someone else and got lumped into the folder when I uploaded it and now I feel bad.

I'd love more and better emoticons, but I'd also like them to be consistent. The ones in the OP are all styles and sizes.

That would be to propose different possible styles I guess. Though, I technically just threw those together to get the thread started and I was short on time. I personally like the Doom Guy Faces that Xaser posted on the ZDoom forums, which Edward linked to.

Rofl, I would love to see those being used actually, however, other side of my mind tells me we should stick to emoticons that go with the theme completely (Kinda like Bloax's).

Except mine are just those two, because emoticons represent expressions. (Thus they kinda need eyes/mouths)
Mine doesn't even have eyes, let alone a mouth. :p

Yeah, It would be better if the emoticons go with the theme, or it would be one big mess of random emoticons

What do you mean?! Rage faces are the pinnacle of comedy!

I think the current emoticons are fine... That is, if not for apparently being animated for the hell of it.
