As described in the title I need your help to test how much the below maps lags to you. I am currently working on a proect where I wanted to create a nice surrounding for one room but as the Zandronum Engine is not the best I need to know how much those two example maps lags to you.
Here are the instructions (applies for both maps):
* If needed, turn on the FPS counter by typing 'vid_fps 1' in the console.
* After started the map, go into the next room and walk around a little.
* If you are playing LagTest1: Type 'puke 1' in the console. Does the lag minimize?
* When you feel to continue, walk to the big door with a computer next to it. Press the computer and walk back on the bridge. You will hear some glass break. If you keep walking you should soon bump into an Abaddon attacking you. This is one out of 3 monster attacks.
* Kill the Abaddon and the other monsters from the other 2 attacks. Note that some monsters might "get stuck" under the bridge you're walking on. When killed all monsters and tested both maps, return to the forum and tell me how much it lagged to you on either map and answer instruction 3 and also tell me if you have an idea for improvements.
So with that said, here are the maps:

I gave these two tests a go for you.

- LagTest1 had a lot of lag while I was on one side of the room. Just a little while in the center
- Typing "puke1" in the console didn't really do much on LagTest1
- I do get this message on screen saying that there is a script error and it can't exceed
- LagTest2 was a bit choppy with the frame rate

Ah, yes I forgot to mention that the script will throw an error after killing the last monsters. This is because there's no more monsters to "activate" while there should be. :)Fabysk wrote: I gave these two tests a go for you.

Strange that LagTest2 was more choppy with the FPS since it's the exact same map except for there's no 3D floors in the monster tubes, which should get better performance.
