Description

Unable to have my file downloaded from my own website through Doomseeker/Wadseeker. This is what gets spit out at me:

Start Doomseeker and double-click
Chap Stallis Coop-test Imaginate BildaBear4
server.

Additional Information

Am I creating my server properly? I changed my link from http to https just in case that was the issue but I get same results either way. This is my startup shell script:

See'https://static.allfearthesentinel.com/wads/ [^]' as an example. Providing a link to an individual file won't work.

You must enable directory indexing for that directory on your web server (or maintain a page with links manually if you like the effort.) Again, take a look at TSPG's to see what Wadseeker expects.

(0024287) phineas (reporter) 2025-03-22 09:28	Okay! Last year, my web hosting provider changed all kinds of stuff. It used to be that everything was automagically directory indexing and I had to place those index pages in to keep prying evildoers out of stuff. Well, now it's default blocking and I have to go in and explicitly enable directory indexing on a folder-by-folder basis ~ sheesh! Thank you for your help! I knew that this worked in the past and that error was so strange saying that there was "nothing interesting" on my website = made me think somebody visited and made an editorial opinion about it. One last thing; how do I close out this ticket now since it's not a wadseeker issue?

(0024445) Blzut3 (administrator) 2025-04-14 04:43	While linking to an index is definitely the recommended practice (since you might want to provide more than one mod), I don't think it's intentional that a direct link to the file doesn't work.
