| Summary | 0002852: The experimental A_Jump(256, ...) handling causes problem in weapon | ||||||||||||
| Description | The problem happens in the special build from ticket'https://zandronum.com/tracker/view.php?id=2840 [^]' -- The weapon seems to work fine at first but as far as I can tell, after a countdown (like in Survival) the weapon messes up. This is quite possibly due to the random jumps in the weapon's ready state, which freezes it I think. | ||||||||||||
| Steps To Reproduce | - Create a local Survival server. - Give "Excalibat". - Play around with it until it gets stuck. Don't fire for a while and it should stop bobbing, that's your signal that it messed up. | ||||||||||||

Product version dropped since this is not a bug report of an official 3.0 build. |

Just for the record, the A_Jump changes were never merged into the main branch. |

Quote from Ivan I'm unable to reproduce the issue in 3.0 (the earliest version that supports the wad) and 3.3 using the example wad. I even had to modify the wad to have the weapon selected as a start weapon after map resets, but it still doesn't get stuck. I think the example wad isn't complete, since there are some items given to the player in the weapon states not included in the example wad. If you ever read this, could you tell me which mod the weapon is from? Then I would be able to reproduce it myself and make a better example wad. |
