Summary | 0002121: Possession world resets are inconsistent with other world resets
Description | Simply put, the world resets in Possession are different from those that exist in other modes that reset the world between rounds. In more detail, when the world resets between rounds of Possession, any changes made to the map or its actors are not reset. This means doors opened will remain open and any actors interacted with whatsoever will remain in the same state they were in when the countdown ended. Projectiles are erased when the round does reset, however. Additionally, certain scripts don't end, resulting in incorrect data. This is a much more inconsistent issue, however and may just happen to coincide with the different Possession resets.
Steps To Reproduce | 1) Load the given wad. 2) Run a round of Possession with a bot. Open the door to the left before the countdown ends. 3) When the countdown ends, the door should remain open. 4) The time bomb in the corner is there as a test on actor resets. If it is not triggered during countdown, then it cannot be triggered in play at all. Loading in TLMS, Duel, or Survival should not produce the same results. After countdown, the door should be closed if it was opened, and the time bomb can still be triggered.

According to Torr, this is a design decision by Carnevil. This will be looked at and considered after 2.0 comes out. |

Still the same as of Zandronum 3.0 Alpha (2.8pre-441-G458E1B1) 160403-2002. |

Yeah this one's a weirdo. Currently it's defined behavior, but I'm not a big fan of the inconsistency. Maybe we should ask on the forums whether or not they would mind seeing it changed? (Probably not since it's played so infrequently) |

I can't think of a situation where you'd want the rounds to reset fully in LMS but not Possession. |
