0000949: Barrel lights stay when destroyed while respawnable
If barrels are set to respawn in an offline skirmish, the red light of the explosion will stay there until the barrel respawns
With render mode set to Open GL, turn on dynamic lights. Start an offline skirmish with "respawning barrels" enabled, and go to any level that has barrels in it. Destroy it, and the red light of the explosion will stay there until the barrel respawns.

The reason is that the actor is never removed. It is simply made invisible/unblockable until it can respawn.

Does it also happen if you don't start the game with the offline skirmish menu but via the console? If so, is it any different in GZDoom 323? If not, is it different in the latest GZDoom version?

I tested online and offline and the bug appears to be fixed now.
