Summary0000939: Banned from Rcon panel after a votekick
DescriptionAfter a votekick, you're also banned from the rcon panel for 10m. It just seems strange that an rcon user can get locked out.
Steps To ReproduceGet kicked. Login to rconpanel.

But if you was already logged in to RCON, you won't get disconnected after a ban. It's inconsistent, I think.

Well, an IP ban completely bans an IP from the server, this is not a bug but how the system is designed to work. So are you suggesting that banned IPs should still be able to connect via RCON?

Yes, that's inconsistent. But it would also be somewhat strange if an RCON user is kicked by a vote.

Perhaps there could be a way to differentiate between bans from the server, and 10-minute bans from kick votes? Unless it was changed recently, RCON users also get logged out by map (reconnect) votes.

Zandronum only has one ban mechanism and I think it would be overkill to introduce a different kind of bans just for the votekicks. If you don't want your admins to be kicked by votes just add their IPs to the admin list (sv_adminlistfile).

Things work as intended and sv_adminlistfile can add exceptions so I'm closing this.
