0000934: [Doomseeker] Clicking links clear the current tab at random
This a long standing one, I can't really remember when it started, though.

But yeah, Doomseeker rolls the dice every time you click a link. And if the roll is JUST right, it'll just clear the entire tab of messages (as if you just joined the room).

This occurrence is totally random, and I've had it happen both in the noisy (join/leave message spam, durr) #Skulltag/Zandronum, and quiet channels too.
Click a link, pray it doesn't do it.

I think I got this bugga.

Try pasting and then clicking on this link:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESuWnNW5H7o

It should show up highlighted, yet clicking it results in triggering this bug.

While this:

'http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESuWnNW5H7o [^]'

Works just fine.

Doesn't seem to reproduce it for me. Though examining the issue awhile makes me wonder if this has anything to do with QTextBrowser's browsing abilities. I commented out the bit that sets openLinks to true and the links still seem to work in the external browser.

Also I found this which seems to suggest setSource could be the culprit:'http://www.qtforum.org/article/4373/qtextedit-qtextbrowser-hyperlink-should-open-external-browser.html [^]'

Note the line "and the QTextBrowser is cleared. The clearing of the Widget is my main problem."

Edit: Zalewa, I'm assigning this to you so that hopefully you'll be notified and can comment on the issue here.

Well, it worked for me three times in a row.
Let me see if I'm totally outdated and that this might be fixed.

Edit: Seems to NOT do this in the latest version. Hm.

This was already fixed a while ago, in revision 790 (11th May 2012)

If that's the case, Bloax when you said "latest" did you try the 0.9 build with Zandronum support?
