Ignoring the fact that you're using the second parameter wrong. (It should be 0 or 1.) Do you have an announcer installed? It works fine for me.

I have.

Your example wad works fine for me online and offline. Of course you need to use "sv_cheats 1" if you want to puke the script online on a client.

Re-run the script, still doesn't work both online and offline with two announcers.

You never said anything about two announcers before. How are we supposed to know about this? If you need to load special wads in order to break the function, please try to break it with as few wads as possible and then upload all these wads here along with a full console log to show which wads you loaded when you encountered the problem.

No, I meant I had one announcer, tested with it, when replaced it with another and it failed too.

Then please post your announcer. It works fine with the one I tried so the problem has to depend on the announcer.

Hey, why you are so curious about it? Just accept this as a fact: I'm not gonna test it in Zandronum. Dot.

Could this be the problem? Are you trying to use this function with 98d?

It doesn't work in all versions of Zandronum I have.

But the testcase WAD was loaded only with an annoucer and Zandronum default file.

Is there a language barrier that prevents me from getting my point across? I asked you for the wads you use (and to clarify I use "wad" as general term for all kind of content files like wad, pk3, etc., of course this includes the announcer file you use) thrice before and you still didn't supply them. I also asked for the full console log twice and you completely ignored this both times.

Your example wad works perfectly fine for Blzut3, Qent and me. If it doesn't work for you, you are either using a different announcer (but I can't tell since you refused to send the announcer you use or at least tell us its name so far) or there is an important difference with your configuration.

It doesn't work for me, however. (98d)

I'm using the 97d announcer from here:'http://www.mediafire.com/?82bwzqh1w21bxaq [^]'

And doing "puke 800" with the test .pk3 results in absolutely nothing happening.
The only stuff that was loaded besides the announcer pack and the supplied file is the default 98d stuff.

Torr, don't get angry, I wrote in another ticked that I experienced a disc crash thus I haven't any logs and most important Zandronum installations anymore. Downloading of a new copy will take ~ 3 days with my current speed and connection stability.

I see. Next time, if you are unable to supply the information I'm asking for, please let me know immediately that you cannot supply the requested information.

It's completely understandable that you can't do what I'm asking for if you don't have your installations anymore, but it's ridiculous that I have to ask four times to make you finally admit you are unable to do so.

Bloax, thanks for the link, I will try it with this announcer.

98D didn't have AnnouncerSound(), so it simply can't work in 98D.

Works fine for me in the latest Zandronum version.

Since no stable Skulltag release ever had this function and the example wad name starts with "skulltag" I suspect that this is not a bug, but a user error. I'm closing this for now. If anybody manages to reproduce the problem with the latest Zandronum version, please re-report and include the full client log.

Just to clarify, I use the same name pattern for all testcase WADs. But well, I hope with Zandronum 1.0 I won't see this problem anymore. Thanks.

I was never able to reproduce the problem with any Zandronum version and it was not a problem in 98d since the command simply didn't exist when 98d was released. So if you want to be sure that it's working as intended for you in Zandronum 1.0, please test it in the latest Zandronum beta build as soon as possible.
