Description | When a client is banned, the server doesn't send him any info on query, leaving him just with a bare IP address in his browser. With that, the player (be it the one for whom is the ban intended for, or a random player caught in ban range) cannot get any details about the server, most importantly the ban reason and contact e-mail. I propose that the server should respond to client queries regardless of the ban status, showing the server details and thus allowing the browser to execute loading the client and a connection attempt, in which the ban reason is shown, and possibly even the line containing the sv_hostemail variable below, as issue 0000004 suggests.
Or how about a way to provide at least the contact e-mail if there's a good reason for not communicating with banned clients. |
