0000597: Occasionally the aim randomly flips
Sometimes, in different wads, I join and I lose control of my aim momentarily. I walk forwards and suddenly my aim moves as if I was pushing my mouse back and forth and in circles very quickly for half a second. The aim can end up anywhere after that has finished: usually about 150-ish degrees away from where I was aiming before it happened. It then stops, and as I move forward it happens again. This is very occasional, but it still happens, and I suspect it may be a small bug if other people get it as well. Disconnecting and reconnecting solves the problem; spectating and joining does not.

Can you give more information on this problem? Is there any mod or game mode that you are more likely to encounter this on than another? Do you have a high ping when this happens? Is it a laggy server?

This has happened a few times on CTF and more on JM. I ping 40 in those two servers.

I used to have a similar problem in quake 3. After changing to a new mouse it never happened again.

Try changing your mouse, I know somebody who has a similar problem. If that doesn't work, reply back with a note.

Will do. Haven't had it for a while, without a mouse change. I'll type it up on here when it does though.

Since the original reported didn't report that the problem returned for three months I assume that it is fixed on his end.
