I forgot to mention that this also happens in 98E-r3299
I don't know if it happens in Mac OSX, it definitely doesn't happen in Windows.

But this is not bad thing. At least i use console auto-hold to run long distances, autoshoot ...
If you do this and close console, game thinks you are still holding those keys, pressing them again will fix this "bug" ... or feature, for me :)
You do not need to hold that many keys with this trick. |

If you just want to run forward, there's a console command for that, +FORWARD |

Of course there is, but it is not as fast as this "feature". With this feature you can use it for any button, and more, you won't stop running until you write correct command.
I would like to have ability to turn this back on if it gets fixed, it is feature for me, not a bug.

Having this as an option would be fine, if it were an option for linux and windows players.
If it's not implemented as an option, you can bind a key to +FORWARD like any other command, by using "bind key +FORWARD".

Your method is just wasting of binds, i already have all my keys bound to something anyway.
(Also you can't just bind +forward to have it working same way, you have to hide it in alias.)
This bug/feature is best way for this, i would like to keep it. |

I recently found something else about this: when this glitch happens using the console, the only way to remove that repeated action is to use the main menu, even when you go out of the console, you are still moving forward. |
|

>the only way to remove that repeated action is to use the main menu
Not only... you can stop it if you re-press the same button in-game.

@Edward - you're right, I didn't try that. |

Does ZDoom behave any differently? |

Nope, it behaves the same on r3333; plus I don't consider it a bug anyway, more like an accidental feature. :P

Thanks for testing! So if anybody wants this to be changed, request it at the ZDoom forum :-).
