0000049: Doomseeker - Allow multiple masters
This will allow for more than one Skulltag community and allow users to conveniently be a part of multiple communities.

Simply put, it would get the server list from more than one master, and then list all servers from both/all masters. Optionally, it can even show in the server's status which master it is a part of.

Well, in exact words Skulltag hasn't been supported at least since 1.1 and the unsupported plugin was finally removed in Doomseeker 1.2 (0003251). This ticket is of course severely old.

How should this be managed? In the configuration UI, starting with one line and ability to add/remove new lines for master servers? A command line flag to query multiple servers, or a command line flag to choose the Doomseeker configuration file to use? If there are identical servers from two or more different master servers for the same IP and port, how should they be displayed? (Usually the game client can only broadcast to one master server at once, to my awareness. That's not to say the broadcast couldn't be relayed by said master server to more master servers, I think.)

Are there also any cases of multiple master servers to choose from today? (I've yet to find the source code for e.g. Zandronum master server, or protocol specifications without reading the client code.)

Lowering the priority to normal, as there's no apparent urgency for this feature to be implemented.

Back in the Skulltag days (Zandronum is Skulltag, so even though Skulltag is kill, it lives as Zandronum) we had some split in the community where folks started to host their own master servers (with the proverbial "blackjack and hookers").

At the moment I think Odamex still has 2 master servers where one serves as a backup to the other.

Naturally, duplicated IPs should not be duplicated on the list. We can assume that a duplicated IP is the same server.

Changes are needed in the plugin API to support that.

While nowadays the necessity to do this is close to zero, it won't hurt.

That wouldn't handle the Odamex HA use case, so proper support for this is the correct solution. Just not a very high priority.
