FYI, this is more of a limitation of the join password system than a bug: The client only sends the password to the server when it is trying to join, i.e. trying to change from spectator to in game player.

I see, so it's not a bug then. But the current behavior is unexpected when IDE asks me to set a join password before connecting to the server.

Yeah, the system is not really nice. Skulltag doesn't have any dialog for the password, so IDE has to ask for it before starting Skulltag.
