I was watching some Twitch stream featuring Zandronum, and some players actually brought this issue up. It sounds like a rather nice idea indeed. I was about to make a new suggestion ticket until I found this one.
Players could perhaps observe all other clients' markers and only be able to clear their own markers. And when they'd clear their own markers, the markers would be cleared on other clients' end as well. The server would have to send out every clients' map marks to connecting clients to sync it up, and clear them when they either disconnect or turn into true spectators. |
