Summary | 0003208: Please backport or fix Powerup.Color None |
Description | When I use Powerup.Color None in a powerup, there is a visual effect on the screen, instead of no effect. |
Steps To Reproduce | In the included test map (MAP01), grab one of the 10-second radsuits. It should look like nothing happened, but something visual definitely happens. |
Additional Information | In my OPWeapons, the players have permanent radsuit, but I don't want there to be such an effect on their screens the whole time they are playing. |

Try "powerup.color "99 99 99", 0.0" as a temporary workaround for this problem. The 2nd paramater, alpha, controls the transparency. |

I have tried lots of combinations of colors and alphas, and there is always a noticeable effect. One of the combinations I tried was 7F7F7F,0.0, which is close to your suggestion. I will give "99 99 99", 0.0 a try and edit the results into this note.
EDIT: There is still a noticeable effect, but not the same effect as None. I will attach a version of the test map to show what I mean.

Since you are working on a new version (3.1), now is the time for feature requests. I wanted to bring this to your attention, but I don't want to be annoying, so I promise not to bump this again this year. |

It might get in either through some incremental codebase upgrade from now or in 4.0 |
