Steps To Reproduce | 1. Download test wad and go to map01
2. First 5 seconds you can hear slight buzzing
3. By 30 seconds in, the distortion arrives
4. Happens with 3.0 and GZ 1.8.6
5. Song plays fine with ZDoom 2.7 |

Notes |
What about ZDoom 2.8.0? 2.8.1? git builds? |
The song is fine in ZDoom 2.8 and 2.8.1 as well as 1.9.0/1. The static still occurs with GZdoom 1.8.10 |
This is going to be a pain, because between gz 1.8.6 and zd 2.8 there was a huge dumb update commit with also a series of fixes to that big update.
I can check which commit broke the sound, but I have problems in reproducing this. What foo_dumb settings did you use in the module replayer options? |
The default settings. Default sample rate, linear interpolation, no ramping or chip-o-matic. |

Can you record the correct and the wrong music reproductions and post them here? I have the same settings, maybe the difference is minimal.

I see the problem with that mp3, but cannot confirm on my pc. You have to wait for another dev to track this down. |

This seems to fix the issue for me. |

If someone gets me a build for this I will test it.
Tested in 170129-2032, the module file in question is fine now.
