0000028: Online Camera Auto-Aim ignores +NOAUTOAIM
Now, I'm not sure if the forced auto-aim online while looking through a camera is intentional or not, as it's inconsistent with multiplayer, but there's certainly a problem with it; it ignores the +NOAUTOAIM flag on weapons.
Which is a problem when projectiles are supposed to only go a certain way.
1. Load magicaldim_bug.wad. It's my 2D project stripped of most of the stuff; if you already have the latest version of the real wad, you can just load that.
2. Play it in singleplayer and summon a monster of your choice; the fireball (slot 2 in the _bug, second slot 1 in _b1qf3) should always go straight regardless of your autoaim setting, while the rapid-fire magic (slot 1 in the _bug, first slot 1 in _b1qf3) should be aimed automatically, provided autoaim isn't set to never.
3. Create a server, local or not, with the wad loaded; sv_cheats should be set to 1 for the sake of summoning a monster, and MAG01 is recommended as most vanilla levels don't work well. The rapid-fire magic should work as intended, though it'll always autoaim regardless of what you have it set to. This is the same for the fireball, which has +NOAUTOAIM on the weapon.
Really unbalances my wad, yo.

...what? It's called additional information. :P

Also, ignore the <!>s, this was just a lazy cut through with SLumpEd.

I couldn't reproduce this so far. Please simplify the example wad (at least put some monsters and the necessary weapons in there so that one can reproduce the problem without needing to do anything in the console) and make a client side demo showing the problem.

Without your feedback, there is nothing I can do about this.

Yeah, sorry about that. I made a more test-built map, made a demo for it, tried to figure out how to remove old files, renamed the new thing, demos stopped working, frustration caused procrastination, and now I'm in a situation where I can't really access my DOOM stuff. x-x

I do have a theory on how to work around it, but I'll still try to get that demo in a soon as possible.

Ok, I can see the problem in the demo, but I can't reproduce it on a local server. Please post the exact settings you used to start the server.

Hm. Well, this might be unrelated to cameras but to DMFLAGs instead now that I've glazed back over them.

Weapon Stay
Spawn Farthest
No Monsters
Items Respawn
No Freelook <- That's what I think is the the problem now.
No Crouching
Limited Air Movement

Alright, this is not a bug then. Forbidding freelook intentionally automatically enforces autoaim. IIRC ZDoom should behave the same.

Indeed, ZDoom still behaves the same.
