Summary | 0002595: Possible support for GZDoom 1.8.6 Android Branch? |
Description | Currently, GZDoom 1.8.6 has been ported to Android. There's also a port of 2.1 as well, but it's fairly behind on commits.

I don't really expect this to actually be ported, but I might be pleasantly surprised. There's a lot of good tablets, and the NVidia Shield that can play GZDoom no problem. With a good bluetooth KB/M, it'd be incredibly easy to play on the go. It would also be great for LAN parties of Zandro, when some folk don't have a good gaming PC, but a decent tablet or phone on them that can play it no problem.
Before someone goes "ugh, touch controls"... there's tons of gamepads and bluetooth keyboards/mice for droid. |

Nah, they're more than capable these days. Usually more capable than some of the laptops that people have been playing Zandronum on. (Those are the people who usually complain about poor performance). This is especially given that mobile technology has made leaps and bounds in recent years. (Also, GLES is more or less equivalent to OpenGL 3.0 in a lot of ways now.)
I've played some of the heavier mods on GZDoom for Android no issue on the NVidia Shield. Hell, even my cell phone is good enough to run Vanilla gameplay fine. (Samsung Galaxy S2X).

I beat one cookie it can't run the new Sgt Mark map with brutal doom?
EDIT: also, i think it's better to sugest this over gzdoom fórum, cus, if gzdoom gets his oficial branch with android, so will zandronum
