Summary | 0002112: Skybox\empty text? errors in a WDI map |
Description | Randomly, the attached map will have its skybox fail to work properly when the map loads. There's also a weird issue with a load of what appear to be empty textboxes being spammed in console. The pictures should be a better description of what's happening here, basically it appears that skyboxes are ending up being substituted with random areas of the map. |
Steps To Reproduce |
Load up these files in order:
'http://www.best-ever.org/download?file=whodunit_fixed2.pk3 [^]'
'http://www.best-ever.org/download?file=wdi_castaway.pk3 [^]'
'http://www.best-ever.org/download?file=wdi-cgi-alpha4.pk3 [^]' (contains the map in question)
Start a server using the appropriate settings (http://www.best-ever.org/viewconfig?name=marc_wdi.cfg)
Switch between the map and other maps until you get the skybox error messages. It's VERY unpredictable. The empty textbox seem to happen after hitting a switch in the absolute center of the map, but this I can't be sure of, only included because maybe the cause is obvious to someone else. |

Somehow, I think the maps are made in udmf? idk, but big/detailed udmf maps tend to bug sometimes when you sometimes do nothing |

Is this a problem only online? Can you reproduce this in 2.0 as well? I can't reproduce with both 1.3 and 2.0 in my linux machine, at least offline.
|
|
|
|
the "cant find skyviewpoint" messages also appear in 2.0 (tested with 2.0-r-150224-1833) |

The funny thing is that I tested with WaTaKiD in an online 2.0 server, but I could not reproduce the message, while he did.
Anyways, the best thing to do is to reduce the map as minimum as possible. |
