See my previous issue (1932). It says the mute IS actually 15 seconds. And that is true. |

10:52 <+Konar6> there should still be some spam prevention, but not to be triggered on typing 3 messages

13:39 <@Dusk> i agree some spam filtering should be present to at least reduce incentive to spamming
13:40 <@Dusk> i just think that the current setup is too trigger-happy and punishes legit users
13:40 <@Dusk> which is bad
13:41 <@Dusk> the big question is, does the '1 minute mute' message actually turn away spammers?
13:41 <@Dusk> ergo does it have some psychological warfare effect
13:41 <@Dusk> if spammers know that it does nothing then there is no reason to keep it at all
13:42 <@Dusk> otherwise i guess it should be fixed and make the trigger rules for the automute less strict

A spammer will most likely just spam over and over again until it works since he has no idea of the exact time remaining.. |

It would be nice to cut the value in half further for team chats. |

Agreed, the filter is too harsh at this time. |

Now, with this commit, I suppose this can be closed if testing goes well (the topic is the 'removing the 1 minute mute'). |
