This also updates menu_teamidxjointeammenu if your team was set automatically (ether because the player selected "auto-select" in the join team menu or because the server uses "sv_noteamselect 1"). This behavior is fine with me, but your comments suggests otherwise.

Small style comment: We usually have extern declarations at the beginning of a file instead of in between the definitions of functions.

Can you add a history entry?
