0000184: Rename Unlagged to ZeroPing
I have noticed alot of people complaining that Unlagged does not reduce lag

Since afaik it only makes hitscan weapons act like you have no ping, I suggest that this could be Renamed to ZeroPing.

ZeroPing brings the same thing to mind. If we do rename it, it should probably be about better prediction, since that's what Unlagged does.

Its just that the name Unlagged is very misleading for some people. They usually think of it as something that will make them have no lag.

AFAIK this is what it's been called all across the gaming industry - all different implementations to give the illusion of the same thing. In a functional sense, it does actually try to emulate as much as it can not being lagged, even though you still really do have lag. Misnomer or not, I think it's the best name we have for it.

> We could be technical or we could speak in Lehman's terms. In any case, we need to communicate with our audience.

> Since most people don't understand "technicality," or even want to, "unlagged" is just an easier name to attribute to something that basically does the same thing anyway.

> The name stays.

I'm closing this.
