Summary | 0001795: Buffer network audio streams that are changemus'd to
Description | As it stands, network audio streams are supported by Zandronum's changemus command - whether that's by accident or not is beyond me, but it works. However, it seems completely unbuffered, which means that when the network falters at all, stuttering happens. That kind of sucks! It would be nice if, instead of playing immediately, Zandronum tried to keep a 128kb or 256kb buffer at all times when listening to a network stream, so network hiccups wouldn't make it skip as much. Something like snd_netmusicbuffer would make a good CVar name for it.
Steps To Reproduce | |||||
Additional Information | Incidentally, "changemus"ing to something on the Internet causes it to freeze up for a couple seconds. Different report, though.
