Does this happen in GZDoom 880 in software mode (vid_renderer 0)?
No, in this version it looks correctly to me. |
How did you select 1024x600 as resolution? |
It's the only one 1024x600 in resolution menu. It's listed under 4:3 (like in old Zandro and this GZdoom Edward-san linked). When I delete my config file and start from defaults, same thing happens after I change resolution from menu again. |
1024x600 is not a 4:3 resolution and not listed as such for me. |

I think 4:3 is not supposed to be an ratio of resolution itself, but of aspect ratio it uses. Anyway, the game and menu graphics and chat text and GUI look OK, just not the menu.

Even with your ini I can't select 1024x600 as resolution. On my machine, Zandronum automatically uses 1024x640 (which is a proper 16:10 resolution) instead of 1024x600. Does it work for you if you use a resolution with an aspect ratio of 4:3, 5:4, 16:9 or 16:10? |

It works well in other resolutions. Obviously, I would prefer to use my native resolution to reduce lags and other problems when alt-tabbing, but I made this post because I thought reporting a bug would be useful.
It works like I previously described, and works correctly, in all ZDoom and ZDoom-based ports I had installed, Zandronum 1.2 included. It doesn't work in alpha, and only in alpha, so I guess something had to happen.
I think I can see a different list of available resolutions on every of my machines. Maybe the reason is different GPU's.
EDIT:
Oh, my friend noticed: 1024x600x32 and 1024x600x16 don't exist, but I have 8-bit color depth (???).

Surely this issue is worth reporting. The main problem is that I can't reproduce this on my end.
Quote from someoneelse Obviously, I would prefer to use my native resolution
Your native resolution is 1024x600? Can you tell me more details about your system? |

(Please read my previous post, I edited it)
This is a netbook, asus eeepc 1001 pxd. It is 1024x600 as native, and its actual ratio is 128:75 (WSVGA). CPU is Intel Atom N455 (1.66GHz), GPU is GMA 3150, 1GB RAM, win7 starter.

I see. Meanwhile I managed to reproduce the problem locally by manually defining 1024x600 as custom resolution in the driver. |
Please test if this fixes the problem. |

It does! Looks perfect. Thank you! |

I'm glad to hear that it's working now! |
