0001240: Update codebase to GZDoom 2.7
GZDoom 2.7 was released last week and has most of the features introduced in the newest version of ZDoom (my personal favorites being Hacx and Hacx 2.0 being recognized as IWADS) but there are other, more significant features (such as support for the Doom BFG IWADs). I'm not sure if I'm sounding like an absolute jackass right now but nevertheless I'd like to see it happen (it would keep me from dragging around two copies of roughly the same engine).

There are already tons of requests from people to begin reupdating codebase, but the safer is the zandronum multiplayer code, the better. Also, the time needed to update and to check if nothing goes wrong is a lot and a minimum omission can cost a lot work... I hope, though, that Torr begins this by getting the new zdoom resources code soon.

I understand entirely why this won't happen if that's the case. Although it would be nice if some parts of it could be updated (the updated IWADs for example, not any of the updated engine code or such).

It's kind of pointless to have a ticket open for this. The backporting will happen eventually.
