Maybe have a GAMEMODE flag for this? |
|
|
|
But I still question why we need it if there is more easily to configure CVAR sv_nodrop (or something like that)? So I'd say "no" to your question. |

If it is needed for a mod, wouldn't a feature to an editing lump work best? o_O |

I agree with Dusk. Changing text is easy enough.
Also I hardly believe there's not a reason for that. Maybe it caused serious problems in the past with some wads? In any case, I believe Torr knows the answer for that. |

I disabled this more than four and a half years ago (just checked the commit logs), but forgot what the actual reason was. I guess there was a discussion regarding this on the forums back then... |

Three months after the sv_nodrop CVAR was added. To be quite honest I don't see much reason in hardcoding a ban of inventory drops in nnn-coop gamemodes since the server can control this as well. Though what baffles me is the relatively short duration between the two changes. |

Probably people didn't like that dropping was enabled in competitive game modes by default. |

So what is the status of the request? What's preventing it from being done? |

NOTE: Magenta mark this if the new marking feature for the tracker gets in |
