0001054: Hexen: MAP02 not playing its own music
i remember what map02 music sounds like. anyway, the other day i got the age of empires (it came with 1, 2, expansion and conquerors editon) so i installed all those and i played it for a while. got bored and exited out of the game and then i played hexen again. after i passed map01 it started playing one of the soundtracks from one of the age of empire games. (i could tell because i remember it) i don't know what happened or how it caused this.
Im not sure if this will even happen to anyone else.

but i guess you could try to install the games yourself and see what happens when you play map02.

Hexen can play music from the CD, if there is one inserted. Does Age of Empires come on a CD disk? If so, did you have it in the drive while playing Hexen? Does it work if you take it out?

the CD was in the disk drive while playing. so when i removed the CD the hexen music was back. and when i insert the CD and start playing map02 it plays the other soundtrack.

you said "hexen can play music from the CD" <- so this isn't really a bug at all?

Nope. Hexen had its soundtrack on the CD and would play it when possible. Randy was thinking about removing this code at one point. so I'm kind of surprised it still works.
