It seems that it took care of the issue, but do we wish to let the spectators bypass the water reverb effect as well? |

Good question. I just made the spectators ignore the water completely. Just nullifying the movement restrictions while keeping the sound changes would require a bunch of changes in the code. I'm not sure if it's worth to make that distinction. |

I think this should be fine as it is (the fix). Having the reverb and all is nice to know I'm under water, plus that is what other people experience. |

So does anybody mind if spectators don't hear the underwater reverb? |

It seems that the fix was never added to Zandronum. I noticed it again today.

Even today all these years later, the fix was somehow never implemented into Zandronum. The issue is still there, spectators are affected by water. It would be better to just let them ignore it completely if keeping the sound effects is too much of a hassle. Besides, true spectators aren't supposed to be bound by player "physics", so having no water reverb for spectators should be ok
All I can think of is letting spectators be affected by water physics if they use the "fly" cheat to use player movement and stop flying.
