0000104: Friendly monsters do not attack in spectator mode
When I join spectator and then summon friendly monsters, they are just staying and not attacking. they only attack if they got hit and if they were spawned before joining spectator
it happens in single player, I am not sure if happens in online
Start a game in single player
Start any map
Go spect
type in console Summonfriend monstername
watch
that means he will not attack until he is hit (when he enters in pain state)

This is not a bug. And please do not bump these threads.

This is actually intended ZDoom behavior. When a friendly does not think a player exists, he will not attack other monsters. The reason being is so that encounters can be set up by mappers which do not trigger until the player is actually able to see them. The fact is that with Skulltag, a spectator is essentially a non-targetable player, so friendly monsters do not see them or know they exist (and same with hostile monsters, for that matter). So they hold their fire until they know they can give the player a show.
