I made a version of ZDaemon's CTF HUD using the new "Event" script type.

● Everything is clientsided, so no impact on the server's bandwidth or whatever.
● The HUD gets automatically scaled according to your "Text Scaling" options.
● When a flag is dropped, the remaining time (in seconds) before it gets automatically returned is displayed.

Note that the sources are included in the pk3 file.

It is recommended to set this file as optional on servers, so only those who want to use it can use it.

Questions to devs :
● Is there a way (Cvar or whatever) to disable/hide Zandronum's hardcoded CTF HUD ? I haven't been able to find anything.
● Right know, there is no Event when a flag is dropped (correct me if I am wrong). To make this HUD work, I had to keep track of the flag takers IDs and check them in a Death script. It works as it is, but is it something that might be added in the future ?

Very usefull for competition/scrim/priv/pub. This should be host on all ctf server. Thx a lot mon ami.

Nice, too bad the fat squares of st flags are still on the left.

Not sure if it's removable since it's hard coded but I think we might be able to replace them.

i will take a look at it and see what i think tho i am not much of anything when it comes to this but i can figure things out.

Edit: must be hard coded.

Oh well good luck. Anyway, to locate hud-related stuff you need to open zandronum.pk3 with something like Slade 3, it's in one of the folders inside it.

If there is demand for a "flag dropped" event, I can easily add that. Just open a tracker ticket for this.
