Doom Launcher

Post by zereb » Sat Feb 22, 2014 6:42 pm

Just simple GUI launcher for doom ports. Written in Java .
If you can not start with a double-click, read this: Troubleshooting JAR File Associations
This is a personal project, I just decided to share. Have any suggestions?
Page on github (if someone is interested in the source code)
More screenshots

added some new features:
map selection, choice difficulty level, some dmflags, including cheats, all compatibility flags
Now the program can save the path to different engines, just click add new.
And fix a bug when the program has not seen iwads. ... creen4.png
Little update. You can now select look and feel, just press switch LAF.

I'd love if I could have a launcher which would allow me to categorize and map my bazzilion gigabytes of wads. Which ones are connected (obligatory and not obligatory for the main wad to work), which ones are for coop/deathmatch/duel/single player only, which ones are maps and which ones are mods, which source port they require etc.
Shared keys will now be in Zandro! Thanks devs for their work, and users for the support!

Ah, good to see a launcher that works under Linux. There are other launchers around, but I think they all are Windows only.
