SNDINFO Help

#1

Post by Screenracer » Sat Nov 02, 2013 3:45 pm

I do not get SNDINFO whatsoever. I am trying to make randomized and pain sounds but the sounds dont play, like when the player takes damage no sound plays at all. ???

SNDINFO Code:

$random playerlowpain { p1-1 p1-2 }
$random playermedpain { p2-1 p2-2 p2-3 }
$random playerhipain { p3-1 p3-2 }
p1-1 pain1
p1-2 pain2
p2-1 pain3
p2-2 pain4
p2-3 pain7
p3-1 pain5
p3-2 pain6
$playeralias player male *pain100 playerlowpain
$playeralias player male *pain75 playerlowpain
$playeralias player male *pain50 playermedpain
$playeralias player male *pain25 playerhipain

$volume pain1 5.0
$volume pain2 5.0
$volume pain3 5.0
$volume pain4 5.0
$volume pain5 5.0
$volume pain6 5.0
$volume pain7 5.0
$volume death 5.0

Do you use wad or PK3? If using PK3, do you have sounds in the right folder (Sounds)?
You can check if sounds are supported by using playsound [the alias, eg. p1-1] or changemus [raw sound name, eg. pain1].

I cannot think of any other issue.

There might be formating issue, are you sure that you didn't rename it from .flac to .waw or some thing like it?
You can say good bye to your thread. Cause i am killing it.

To my knowledge, $volume does not take values over 1.0

Removed the $volume lines after I amplified the sound volume.
