Why did u put a 20 megabyte ogg music file for each map when UT99's music comes in tracker format and is only like 2 mb per song ??? ? Nobody wants to download a 180 mb wad that used to be 12 mb; logistical failure.

It's not a logistical failure it's a cry for help. If there is anyone here who can make new sound effects and music I would love to hear it.

I'd love a link to these songs. In fact, I would love it if the community got involved. If someone wants to edit the version I have then go right ahead. Just make sure I see it first.

You want the community to fix your mistakes for you? Yeah no thanks.

Don't you just love it when an author makes a classic, smash hit release? Then decides to make a 'remix' and ends up butchering the entire thing.

I ran through both the new and V3 side by side and I fail to see the point of this release, the layout really hasn't changed much in contrast to the original and all the cool detailing and lighting has been stripped out. Not to mention, wow what's wrong with sticking with the original OST, some of the best cyberpunk/neon tracks I've heard from a Doom wad.

The best thing would be to keep Cybercrime V3 and just make more maps for it.

In other words you are telling me to keep doing what I'm doing just keep the original feel.

Here's a website where you can download all of the music for UT in their original tracker formats:

http://www.mirsoft.info/gmb/music_info.php?id_file=OTcx (Total size: 43 MB for all the music in UT)

You have to log in to download the whole zip but it's about half the size of the mp3s that Cata linked, please use that instead of oggs.

Or why not put more Elwood music or some of the fine tunes at the mod archive? Maybe something by 4-mat or g-knight? Note that all of the elwood tracks are on Modarchive in mod format, you don't have to do vid 2 mp3 or anything like that.

I like the chiptune synth style 4mat has and it would be a nice addition to the wad.

I want to see more post like this. Yes, I made a wad but I want community content in this wad too because it shows that you guys had a say in it.

It isn't by any means "me making a mistake and you guys fixing it"

You'll be happy to know that I added Elwood's soundtrack to the Cybercrime soundtrack and I changed the name to cybercrime4, updated a ton of stuff and fixed more of the errors.

The size of the wad has been shrunk greatly and it seems to capture that v3 feel.

Trying to help you out, I think people played your maps sooooo many times( for nealy 10 years), that they will simpy won't accept any serious changes in level design, only minor additions.
I've seen this happening to some projects here and it didn't end up well, new remix versions not being played.

And as many people said CYBERCRIME3 is a perfection, and a cult deathmatch wad in doom community. Messing with it may be not worthy.
Can't tell for the others, I only wish new awesome maps and that's it. Maybe minor gameplay changes like double-jump, DECORATE visual effects enchancements. STBAR features or maybe this feature, that nobody yet used
+ - Added new script type EVENT. By calling EVENT scripts the engine notifies a mod that a noteworthy event happened and also provides some information about the event using 'arg1' and 'arg2'. So far the following events are supported:
GAMEEVENT_PLAYERFRAGS (player frags another player)
GAMEEVENT_MEDALS (player receives a medal)
GAMEEVENT_ROUND_STARTS
GAMEEVENT_ROUND_ENDS (the current round ends and the win sequence starts, e.g. when the fraglimit is hit)
GAMEEVENT_ROUND_ABORTED (the current round is ended prematurely, e.g. if all players leave the game)
Also few advices
1) Many people still prefer to play in software render, which means that new Lights look as ugly sprites in it.
2) Zandronum has a support of 3d floors. Can't say it works okay in deathmatch, since people like to use Bridges instead of 3Dfloors ( because they can bouncejump on them, shoot through them)

As for commmunity content, I could contribute something if you need.I mentioned earlier, I've been trying to do something similiar http://zandronum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=2879 ,
I made this HUD for it e.g Image . Also there is fixed railgun with proper D64 electricity animation, and if I remember right, all weapons converted from dehacked to decorate.

Another update added to the wad, I added some different effects to get the skybox. I also added Zeberpal's hud to give it a better techno feel to it.

Download at your service. Version 3.5.0

Just noticed this. First point you'd be surprised, even in DM most people use OGL.
Second, 3D floors have a flag (inverted shootability) that allows players to shoot through them. 3D floors allow so much more flexibility in DM maps, unless you want to support dead ports (zdaemon) or pointless/dead ports (odamex)
I thought that you could only play Cybercrime in OGL mode because of the bridges and lighting effects... That's the main reason I even updated it in the first place.

Also, here is the latest version I'm working on. I call it Version 3.5.0
