I'd play it more often if people stopped hosting Doom Metal alongside it as a requirement.

Yeah,i prefer the original musics too...

There is an other thing too, with Brutal DOOM, you can't play some wads who have a lot of ennemies, it can lag a lot.... or if there is some custom ennemies, it can't work well :/ (like resurgence, scythe or valiant).

DOOM is run&gun but Brutal DOOM just modify the style of gameplay.... I played Resurgence and Hell Bound (last maps have a lot of ennemies, specially map29 :/ ) with the normal doom, as always, it's a ton of fun.
If i play some wads who has not a lot of waves (like doom2reloaded, or TNT), i use Brutal DOOM for the fun' (:

I started with DOOM 95 but i think, its really good to have some mode who can make doom more popular (i like Shotgun Frenzy a lot too : p

Brutal Doom is still easier than vanilla in most situations.

Again, not hating on it. I actually enjoy it as long as it's Sperglord Edition.

i would say projectx msx is harder, but then, it's not doom theme and more like crysis theme.
Doom always was an easy game from start, so I don't see a problem with bd

I personally like BD, but it gets stale really quickly. It's super intense and gory, but the effect very quickly goes from awesome demon massacre to "ugh, more guts". It gets too overwhelming and whatever kept you there just disappears.
Projects: Unbound, Zelda DXA
