I didn't play it till around mid-2009, and that's when it truly was at it's best. Then Cold Demise introduced some horrible maps, and then Nordic Saga killed it. I really miss classic GvH.

Lol yeah. I remember the developers uploading a whole new version of Skulltag 97c just for GvH testing. It needed special TEAMINFO support or something.

Mine's definitely with GvH, too, but not with Skulltag. Well, it was tested using Skulltag, of course, but my memory's of testing it with Cutty and a whole bunch of ZDoomers. Good times. I remember playing as Cyborg and just fighting through a gauntlet of ghouls that came at me from nowhere on a ... I forget the name, but it was a gothic (Not GothicDM, though) mapset that I think had Distorted or Dream in its name.

Playing zdaemon 500 duel limit matches with [DUI]Vampy around 07ish and learning how to duel. I owe him everything.

Also the first time I was told the priv password for zdaemon was really sweet.
