Yeah I know, I wanted to make shootmania mod a year ago and the guy making his Joust version was actually encouraging me to do that. But my experience at the time was insufficient. Now it's a way better and since I haven't heard about that other project (and since I am aiming to mod Royal, not Joust) I've decided to finish it this time. It will not be 1:1 shootmania though (unless someone figures out grappling hooks for me), but most of the basic content will be there. As seen in the video, I already have weapons finished (balancing them now), weapon/jump pads are also finished, I am now working on the healing pads and then I'll try to figure out the whole offzone/tornado thing. Also I am not really sure whether I should include footstep sounds and sprinting (wall jumping is not a priority at this time)

A video from a newer version of the mod, recorded today with my friend. At this point I already have even a newer version where respawn bug is fixed, tornado has much better sprite and so on...

I think it would look a bit cooler if you added some more details to the cliffs - maybe some rocks or something

I got inspired by a Marathon Infinity netpack and slapped this small room together. Still got a lot to add to it.

I should really find some new textures to work with.

Ignore the slightly messed-up HUD, since it's in the process of being updated, but here's what I've recently worked on- Models with OpenGL shaders applied to their skins:

Those plasma tubes glow in the dark, and swirl/pulsate, without the need to make multiple textures or tons of model frames.

Strikerman that looks absolutely amazing, though a small video clip to demonstrate the animation would be even better.
It would also be awesome if you could share how you work with this, it is rather fascinating. I can't even manage to get a usable 3D model out of blender, it would actually be rather great with guides on the 3D aspect of modding in general tbh.

Blender Noob To Pro (IMO it's a little boring but it really helped me, after you get past the first couple of chapters things get a lot easier) https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Blender_3D:_Noob_to_Pro

There's an article on how to get basic models into Zandronum on the wiki, it's using an older version of Blender but a lot of the skills transfer http://wiki.zandronum.com/MODELDEF:_An_Introduction

If you have trouble with the MD3 export let me know.
