Server not responding or not visible

Ok so im going crazy wth this. I've been trying for literally 3 hours or more, to get the server running, or to make it joinable. At first the server wouldnt show up in the list. I struggled to find a way to port foward this router (talktalk HG635) but eventually i managed to forward 10666 and also trigger. Now, the server shows up, but it says ("NO RESPONSE"). I already checked the firewall, i already did a ton of things, i already read a ton of topics and tutorials and what not, and in 3 or more hours i cant get this running. I need some help cause i dont know what else to do, all i want is to play coop

I still dont know where to enter the commands

Doomseeker -> Options -> Configure -> Custom Servers -> Select Zandronum -> Click Add -> Type in 127.0.0.1 into host -> Leave 10666 in port -> Press ok.

Ok that made it work, i can see and join, but can people join the server? without it being in a lan? and is it possible to open it up through gzdoom?

No. GZDoom should be considered in the same way as you'd consider a completely different game.

I think he refers to server commands such as sv_cheats 1 or something similar and for that you need to login to rcon and use rcon <command goes here>

Also heavenkinder if by opening the server with gzdoom you want to use the OpenGL renderer then you can set that up in Options > Set Video Mode.

Go on irc and ask people if they can join your server.
If not say what system you run it from.
