Welcome to the samsara addons thread, i am one of the devs, Joel. Here you can post suggestions,questions, and bugs about the classes in samsara addons.

The Powder Keg is nearless useless and cumbersome to use in the original game, it would be horrendous with Doom's fast paced environment definitely choose the sniper rifle.

When converting classes I think you should retain the authenticity of their arsenal and movement speed with respect to the original game, not only does this ensure balance is maintained but consistency as well.

I don't like how Freeman's Revolver has been nerfed to suit Samsara, it was one of the most powerful weapons in Half-Life one shotting most enemies. It should be altered to one shot zombies, imps, 2 shots for Demons/Spectres, then 3 or 4 for other enemy types, this is fair because of his slow reloading rate. It takes over 6 shots to kill a Cacodemon for god sakes, garbage why even give an upgrade to the starting Glock?

His weapon reload seems slightly slower then the original, it's most noticable with the MP40, the RPG could use a faster reload as well, sure it's similar to Security Officer in that he has to reload it constantly but the radius and damage can't compare so the reload should be faster.

Their's a bug with the Shotgun, the secondary fire laughably misses if you shoot a target at too close a range.

I don't agree with making Grondovol's projectiles homing, wasn't like that in the original, sure he can retain his 250/300 maximum as it's necessary given he's a melee fighter but the homing projectiles are overpowered.

Lo Wang should be a direct reflection of Duke Nukem, meaning all his taunts should be used like the original and he should talk constantly like Duke. Currently he repeats too many of the same taunts (THIS NO MOVIE MR CHAN) and says bugger all after slaying foes.

Okay sniper got it
As for freemen i've never play half life and it was one of donalds classes and he is MIA but ill ask jesh to increase reloading speed and prehaps a revolver buff. Yeah freemen is buggy atm we'll have to fix a ton of bugs he has.
AS for grondoval, his mace and pikes were homing in his game through enchantments in the sequal and his 250 hp was in the game{Witchaven 2 Ie Leveling up]
As for wang, i have no clue how to program taunts or how jesh did it, ill have to ask him myself.

I know about the temporary Enhancements in Witchaven II, but I honestly don't remember the Fire Mace and Pike Axes being homing so I'll have to check :P

Either way the mace is losing all homing and the pike is getting slighty less homing and a damage buff.{Dynamo decided thats how grondoval should be}

I'd love to see Serious Sam! Don't tell me he won't fit with the classic characters, his gameplay is very much Doom-inspired, and I think you lose all "this character won't fit" merit when you plan a South Park character. You might as well add Goku into Smash Bros.

Super smash flash 2... Also i'm pretty sure south park would fit as a joke character like chexter, serious sam is well more serious, futhermore you would have to convice jesh since he doesnt just make any 3d character those require time.

The thing is addons usually (and thankfully =P) aren't played in competitive game modes. So if you don't like a class, just don't use it and it will probably not affect you.
EDIT: I mean, as long at bugs don't crash servers or something. =P

I'm not entirely sure if you're the lead developer, but if you are, just tell him "no, that's not going to work", and don't add it.

I made my diversity post on the other thread (thus will not post it again here), but there's a point where's you should decide that some ideas just aren't good for the online environment.

I barely joined the team at all, jesh is the owner of addons and is the main reason addons is alive, i'm pretty new.

Hrm. That's a bit trickier, then. Even still, see if you can talk to him - there's a certain line where the addons might splinter if things go further south.

Well I should weigh in on here and say that that South Park class bullshit should absolutely NEVER happen. That's not going to work. Please don't turn this into the GvH addon classes bullshit that Hekmatyar has been (AND STILL FUCKING IS, HELLO YOU! STOP DOING THIS AND LEAVE THE COMMUNITY ALREADY FFS!) running. Please, don't.

Also, Lo Wang's taunts, death sounds, pain sounds etc are all over the place and aren't matching. His death sound is his falling from high sound, for god's sake...

Yeah i agree with both statements Ivan, as for wang, i think someone who played the game more then me should help him, so whoever is a expert at shadow warrior should contact jesh or contact me so i can help you reach jesh.
Anyways ignore that south park thing, turns out it was a joke and no one told me -_-.

Than the South Park character? Yeah, obviously Than Doom in general? Nah.
