Steam Summer Sales 2014 has begun

DONT BUY, DONT BUY!!! Gamers, my brothers! i see in your eyes the same desire for buy games as i! A day may come when no offer goes below 50% and all indie games be ignored, BUT IT IS NOT THIS DAY. An hour of dailies only for Call of Duty and DayZ like games, BUT IT IS NOT THIS DAY! This day we buy! By all that hold dear on the indie companies, I bid you stand Gamers!

No idea what I want, but there are some PAYDAY 2 DLC's on my stifflist.
Call of Juarez : Gunslinger would be great too!

PSA: You won't win games if you're not already on Purple Team.

By all indication Purple Team has most of the no-lifers, probably intentionally. This creates an insurmountable advantage that's just going to lead to Purple winning game after game. You're better off just crafting one badge a day to get the daily card and selling that to the pitiful marks who think they have a chance.

Pretty much that. Shame really. Green was ahead, then purple shoots forward with a big lead all of a sudden.

This contest was pretty ill conceived. If they had put a cap on the amount players could contribute to scores, or put in diminishing returns for badges and purchases, this contest would make much more sense.

So far, just got Magicka. Already got almost all I want.
Waiting for Planet Explorers and Space Engineers to be on a bigger sale. 10-20% off isn't enough for my budget.

i have only managed to get 5.5$ for this Steam Summer Sale and, as said before, i bought Terraria in 2$, so im wondering what else to buy...should i buy Castle Crashers which is in 3$ or wait for something else? or maybe i can buy both Red Faction and Hammerwatch in GOG(both are in 2$, but i can ask a little favor for the 0.5$)

Hotline Miami ($1.49)
VVVVVV ($2.49)
Super Meat Boy ($3.44)
Risk of Rain ($2.49)
Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures ($4.99)
Ikaruga ($4.99)
Terraria ($1.99)
Skullgirls ($3.74)

$25.62 I have spent in total for all that. Actually that sounds pretty good. I'm hoping Nuclear Throne, Bastion, or Transistor get a price drop soon.

BTW, if you like platformers and don't have Super Meat Boy, what are you doing, the game is great.

I only want to tell you...
Out of 424 games that I've to Steam, I've never started 144 of those.
Out of 280 that I've run at least once, I've run only 190 games for over one hour.
Out of 190 games that I've run longer than one hour, I've played only SIXTEEN of those for more than 72 hours (3, perfect number, full days).

All in all: play the demo guys, and I don't want to encourage shady ways to try out the software if you can't find a demo but......... Be sure to play the game and see if you really want it or you just wanted to try it. Not that I regret anything, but money ain't free, and you want to make a Good use of it, right?

Supporting the indie developers? Buy on their own website if they have one, or through websites such as HumbleBundle, so that you can give them ALL the money you pull out of your wallet, instead of leaving a good chunk to Valve.

Boycotting Valve you ask me?

If I've to say it... Sort of.

But this is a tale for another day (and topic).

Edit:
@TTA: Be sure to try Electronic Super Joy ;-)

Because Global discounts and shit on sale. I went crazy:
Outlast: Whistleblower DLC
Outlast
Painkiller Hell and Damnation Collectors DLC Upgrade
Painkiller Complete Pack - Dec 2013 (RoW)
Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Master Collection
Anno 2070 DLC Complete Pack
NEStalgia 3 pack
Torchlight II
XCOM: Complete
The Witcher 2 (AU)
Anno 2070
Chivalry: Medieval Warfare
Lichdom: Battlemage
Space Engineers
FEAR Complete Pack (ROW)
Saints Row Ultimate Franchise Pack
SWAN Upgrade
Stick RPG 2
Some of them were on sale on the front page, most of them were just store wide discounts that I couldn't resist :P

While I love this, I give a big FUCK YOU to Gabe for essentially nuking my wallet :D

EDIT: Just obtained Age of Empires HD edition as well :D
