A single-player campaign for All Out War 2
There's no way i'm making it, but while I was on the toilet (no joke), I came up with an idea: A single player campaign with All Out War 2. I mean with like actual story progression and everything. Missions, and (of course), the maps from the multi-player in single player for parts of the game simply referred to as "All out War". Think about this, and if you're REALLY good at making wads, give it a shot. The creator of Strife and the creator of AOW2 could come up with something big.
HA! Take that, Moon. Made of Cheese, my ass!

Or you could just play CNC Renegade ...
Reinforcements: midgame Survival joining/respawning
Doom64: Unabsolved: Doom64 + Diablo II
ZandroSkins: a pack made by our community
AeniPuffs: 3D blood and bullet puff effects, free to use for your own mods
Squad Radio: a WASD-based radio chat menu, add your own custom sounds!
Mercenaries (on hold)

Creator of Strife...? I'm more or less convinced you don't really know who's who. I'll quickly explain.
Voltlock made AoW2 and retired work it after a year to work on RGA2. From then on Omega Team took up the responsibility of bugfixing. Voltlock said specifically he doesn't want anything to do with his retired projects.
The developer studio of Strife is long-defunct and doesn't exist anymore. Secondly they had nothing to do with AoW2, Volt simply used a couple of its sprites.
inb4 drama

RE: A single-player campaign for All Out War 2
I don't think a single-player campaign would necessarily work for AoW2 anywho, the extensive amount of coding that would have to go into programming new monsters and what not would make the wad substantially larger than it already is... And it's pretty big already.
Unless if you're trying to incorporate bots into the scenarios, in which case that would also be just as lost of a cause as Skulltag/Zandronum bots are not programmed to be the most intelligent bots as most of the time they are rarely, and I mean RARELY used.
In any case I do appreciate you speaking your mind, and yes maybe a single-player campaign of AoW2 would be impressive and fun to play if possible and done right as well. I personally would just like to see random AI controlled marines, running as distraction or just taking pot shots, of course this is from the POV of a guy who doesn't like AoW2, I just enjoy the madness. However we all see things differently, and thats what makes us all the same.

Voltlock made AoW2 and ditched it shortly thereafter after not wanting to deal with balancing and bugfixing such a huge project. Instead, he began work on RGA2. From then on Omega Team took up the responsibility of bugfixing. Voltlock said specifically he doesn't want anything to do with his old projects.

I've asked, but I never got an answer... What the hell does inb4 mean?

RE: A single-player campaign for All Out War 2
It means getting an answer in before something happens I think.

RE: A single-player campaign for All Out War 2
It means "In before", so in this context, it's like saying "I sense drama incoming".

An ancient chinese secret for you.Lion Heart wrote: I've asked, but I never got an answer... What the hell does inb4 mean?
The fact that you've asked more than once without checking is another matter
Also, turns out Rogue Entertainment (the devs of Strife) is now the name of some record company. Rogue Entertainment was also involved in Quake II and American McGee's Alice. Who knew?
Either way, they're definately disbanded now, and I'm sure Volt not wanting to delve into the wad before means he won't now.
In any case, I still think you should just get C&C Renegade. The multiplayer's still booming, 50-player servers full almost all the time.
Also nice necrobump

I really don't see this going to happen.
Like Ænima said: I just rather play C&C Renegade.

I implore you to reconsider. There's no way i'm making it
At the risk of sounding rude, for which I apologize in advance for, why should I?Think about this, and if you're REALLY good at making wads, give it a shot.
RE: A single-player campaign for All Out War 2
Because he wants to play it but doesn't want any part in making it.
Hey, if you pay me $100, I'll make it.

Pay me to make it! Ænima is taking too much money for his work! I'll do it for only $50, and if you accept this offer within 5 days, you will get 50% off!
Even if something gets created, it probably won't be as good as Renegade, so you're better off playing Renegade instead.

Code: Select all
<Synert> fuck
<Synert> plugged in my memory stick and got a bsodRE: A single-player campaign for All Out War 2
I remember that such a single player "Invasion" mode thing existed in earlier AOW2 versions with only 2 structures and a "black box" you had to protect with waves of enemies appearing from portals ... Guess like it was removed at some point.
RE: A single-player campaign for All Out War 2
Any campaign/single player wads out there with the guns from AOW?

Seriously man. Old Projects mean RGA2 and AOW, among other things. I've talked to him about this before. It's not like we talk in MSN on a regular basis or anything.Medicris wrote: Voltlock made AoW2 and retired work it after a year to work on RGA2. RE: A single-player campaign for All Out War 2
Sup
Just to clarify, as the original creator of AoW2, I certainly will not ever be working on this again, let alone a single player mode. There was an invasion type mode (called Bombardment, from AoW1) in the works but after a little while I got annoyed with all the changes I was making to the AoW mode and updating the invasion mode. If that means anything.
On top of this, I haven't worked on any wads for months (about 8), my last project was RGA3, and I honestly can't be fucked working on anything anymore, as I am simply just bored of modding all of the time. So even if I was to start on any mods? I'd most likely continue working on RGA3.
