You should have had health and armor clipped to the top right corner of the screen, just like in UT. Seeing health, armor and frag count all together is not very pleasant to the eyes. :v

Great release all the same.

hah, this, but actually it looks pretty good, going to skins (oh and you need use the hud with the face)
Whitout a good PC ATM, i will back when 2.0 come out, :)

I stuck the health and armor up there and it didn't look right to me without having that guy next to it, so eh
why would the doomguy face ever be on this, it's not even useful and is just clutter

speaking of clutter, r2 has a fullscreen hud that removes a lot of that

Looks cool ijon, I like it. Lots of color balance which makes it look unique. Maybe the health cross shouldn't be angled? Considering the Armor and Skull (killcount i guess?) thingy aren't. If that is a killcount I would like to add thats really good information, as its not information often tracked. I just wish huds didn't remove stuff from the regular hud, like statbar face. Also maybe you should do somthing with the key display aswell? Unless ofcourse its already there, and you just didn't have any.

I didn't try it but some feedback from the screenshots:

-I think that making the rectangles in the corner semi-transparent would make the hud lighter to see.
-Personally, I prefer the version with the number of the remaining ammunitions.
-Have a way to tell if you're wearing a Blue or Green armor would make the hud more helpful.
-The purple used for the Cells doesn't look very nice for my taste; making it blue and the rectangles in the corner black/grey would make the aesthetic impact better.

In my opinion of course.

I haven't gotten to that yet

blue makes it hard as balls to actually see the cell icon
blue is the default color of the ut99 hud, so that isn't changing (until I make multiple wads for each primary/secondary color, which will happen once this damn thing stabilizes)
I took the ammo colors from quake 3, because I happen to think its colors work well (although the plasma wasn't even purple there either, what gives, cyan was right there)

if anything it's changing to cyan

Perhaps green for the cells, because cyan isn't very software friendly?

If it's not a lot of work, maybe have the ammo indicator on the lower right change color / icon depending on what ammo the weapon you've selected uses?
That would probably make it easier to identify which color is which ammo in the smaller HUD.
How about some sort of indicator that shows if you have the gun? Maybe just darken the ammo icon if you don't have a gun that shoots that sort of ammo?

sure, why not

edit:weaponammo doesn't distinguish between primary and secondary ammo, so I might just active ammo types light up if the weapon uses multiple ammo types
