What would you like in DooM 4?

So ID has talked about Doom 4, but then we didn't hear anything else about it. I don't know about you guys and gals, but i would definitely like a new DooM. Out of curiosity, my question is: what kind of DooM game would you prefer? A DooM 3 horror style or DooM 1 and 2 action style? Or maybe things to add or remove? Basicly anything YOU would like. Here is what i would like:
A DooM that switches between horror and action and succeeds at it, all while keeping that DooM 1 style. Graphics would be nice, but its no priority. I'd also like a very BIG campaign instead of focusing on multiplayer, as well as no useless tutorials (By that i mean they don't tell EVERYTHING! ex.: use your flashlight to light dark areas) as well as a half-life style objective system (they don't tell you where to go or what to look for)

What would I like in D4? Preferably not what they did in D3 (Don't get me wrong, it's still a good game), no horror or any of that, just pure old DooM gameplay.

I hear D4 is supposed to be something like D2 but.. there hasn't been alot of information recently.

Less room to room two monsters at a time stuff. Doom 3 featured a constant low point instead of highs and lows.

Cut back on the monster closet crap. In one instance, I sprinted through a hall because I knew it would just throw a bunch of monsters at me. Their closets were rendered pointless and I dropped them all easily.

Feature some characters to fight alongside for once instead of killing Stephen Blum three times.

More allied NPCs to fight alongside with and a much faster game play is what I am looking forward to at the moment.

- Fast marine. Maybe not as fast as the original one but... I think he should have something like quakeguy's speed.
- Projectile dodging.
- Armed zombies as always.
- Night goggles.
- Horror is nice, but could it be more fast placed? Something like "*bam* *bam* I just killed 2 imps now I run *pinky from the ceiling* *bam* WTF die *bam* I keep running and I see a switch *sudden red lights and revenants* O_O crap *bam* *bam* *bam* Fuck, I died!"

As long as there's Classic-doom style hordes of monsters, and not the whole "send them single file at the player all game".

Basically, compared to Doom 3? More monsters, more shooting, more speed, more light.

I want it to have some classic demons from the old Doom games, and maybe introduce some new ones, too.

I'd also like it to have the music Doom 1/2 style. Doom 3's soundtrack was atmospheric, while Doom 1 and 2 had very melodic soundtracks which we all pretty much know by heart. There's just something nice about killing demons from Hell while listening to drums and guitars. It feels just right.

The gameplay should be the classic Doom gameplay, run and gun. However, it should be polished and perhaps introduce some new interesting guns and ways to kill enemies.

It should also be a flexible game. Moddable. But I have no doubts about that. It's Doom.

Essentially, this. I loved Doom 3 as a game itself, but I hated it as part of the Doom series. They should've named it "Flashlight Sim 1.0".

I would like more COLOR. All the enemies looked exactly the same to me in Doom 3, in contrast to Doom 1 and 2.

- Zombies whose skin doesn't disintegrate when hit with a gentle breeze (after being beaten down to 1HP).
- Being able to stop idiot civilians from indirectly killing themselves in panic. I didn't like the fact that in a Doom3 scene, even with medikits scattered all over, I had to watch one potential ally bleed out. (I know, I'm pathetic like that.)
- Oh god please, a semi-automatic pistol. As it turns out, in D3, the ZSecs fire at a faster rate than you.
- More interactivity. You know how I am.
- Letting the civilians having a hand in the war against Hell, and being able to have them follow you or have them go their own way.
- Regeneration similar to the regen in Legacy of Suffering. It certainly won't help you in combat, but it certainly will help when you've used the last medikit in a mile radius. Speaking of that...
- Inventory bar. Health items can only be used manually, and you can give items to NPC's and players.
- Weapon variety. However, only one of each slot (fist of course, melee, handgun, shotgun, assault or machine gun, grenade, explosive launcher, energy gun, and "ultimate" gun) can be carried at the same time.

There may be more after this.

I didn't mind Doom 3/RoE at all. The only thing that was missing in them was the slaughtering hordes of monsters just like in Doom/Doom 2.

As for what I would like? Doom/Doom 2 styled gameplay, hordes of monsters and why the hell not, even the horror from Doom 3.

The main wish I have is to have my kill counter well over 3 thousands when I finally beat the game.

As secondaries, doomguy running like a train, and SSG.

Weapons with different types of ammo, like Rage. I really like how they implemented that.
